I am a 16 year old school boy (Dec 08), living in West Sussex. I started karting in 2003 attending kart school at Buckmore Park. I got my first chassis, a Kosmic, in October 2003 from the Kart Shop. I did some test days with Dave Catt and in May 2004 I competed in my first race at Lydd in the Mini Max class.
During 2004 I completed my novice stage getting all my signatures and raced at Bayford and Lydd. At Christmas I got a Tonykart, 04 1/2 Venox chassis from the Kart Shop. It was an amazing kart, I won my first heat win in it.
2005
2005 saw me competing at Lydd, Buckmore and Bayford regularly and in August competed in Kartmasters at PF International. In October an early Xmas present a Tony Kart 06 Racer EVS which I used for the Champion of Champions event at Buckmore. It was the best kart I had ever driven.
2006
In January the decision was taken to move up to Junior Max from Mini Max, a bit faster top speed and acceleration. I competed in Bayford Meadows Summer Championship and came 2nd and in Buchmore's Championship 6th. I also competed again in Kartmasters at PF International but was forced out early in the Final! Overall I was pretty pleased with the year being my first in Junior Max.
2007
At Junior Max I competed in Buckmore's and Bayford's Winter Championships and then in Buckmore's Summer Champonship. I also started to race at PFI and Rissington. I won the Midlands Champs at Rissi and the South East Challenge which comprised two races at Lydd, Bayford and Buckmore. Not a bad year.
2008
At the beginning of this year I moved up to Senior Max and have spent this year gaining experience racing at this level. This has seen me racing throughout the year at Buckmore and PF International and to a lesser extent at Bayford Meadows. I have also taken part at Kart Masters (PFI, Lincolnshire), Mid Champs (Rissington) and O plate (Clay Pigeon). I finished 4th in the BPKC Club championship, had my first senior win at Bayford and in the latter part of the year enjoyed heat wins and fastest time qualifying at a number of meetings.
